    ssh banned me!

    Hi

I own several servers, just today i had this new one from a new provider, i tried to log in as root, done it 8 times, and all 8 times it was wrong, found out i was typing wrong password. However, my home pc ip is banned! i suppose it was done automatically as a security measure. Just want to know how to unban it? Anyone have any ideas?

From the client side in some cases you need to edit the .ssh/known_hosts file if you re-IP or change the environment of the server after you have been logging into it. You can remove the specific server from known_hosts and get prompted to add it once again.
