Would you trade your video game for $1.99 or $2

Would you be more inclined and less put off if the price to trade your old video game for a new one was $1.99 or $2

$2 looks like a price you just slapped on for the sake of it. $1.99 looks like it's a bargain I can't live without.

I'm going to have to agree. I think there have actually been psychological tests that people respond better to the .99 prices. It triggers some crazy 'I must be getting a deal mechanism' Why else would car dealers make such a big deal about a car being available for $9999.99? I mean really, it's 10 Grand, but crazy stuff like that works. So as I ramble on, $1.99 all the way

Whenever I see number 99 at the end of any price I feel that there is a manipulation going on. 1.95 looks somewhat better, 1.87 is totally great.

haha, I was thinking the same thing as Caia.

Why do you think Wal-Mart uses whacked prices like 9.89, 13.93, 1.87 etc...

People see that and go, wow they really ARE cutting prices...

    my 2 cents
