PHP on Apache running on Red Hat

How do I get exec privliges so that I can run PHP scripts on my Apache server... Everything is installed the wayit installsoff the install cd's. If that last sentence made no sense, ignore it...

    Thanks

To change permissions you need to use the chmod command (search for more info) but it shouldn't be necessary to use php files. What happens when you try to access one?
