when or not to use .php extension ?

When is it obliged to use the .php extension ?, if there a script <?php ?> in it, must i put ?. I don't think so because i think that webmasterbase.com use php to show the latest thread, articles.... , and there's no .php extension!, what's the catch ?

    Hi,

They read a beginning php book, so after one month, they knew what they were doing.

    Hi,

    1. The article script does ahve a .php ending, although they could use .php3, .php4763, .phtml, .sitepointrulez if they really wanted.

    2. I think you said that as it looks like this: article.php/228. That is where they put a variable in the URL then use a htaccess file and php to get the correct information. It is all to produce search engine friendly URLs.

7stud: Are you sure about one month? I would have thought about 11 days or so.
