Do a search for Aplus over at webhostingtalk.com. There should be plenty to read about them.

I have used them in the past - very good customer support and even would follow up with me by giving me a phone call a day or 2 later to make sure everything is ok

We talking about the same company? These guys are getting killed on webhostingtalk.com

From what I read, they were kicked out the bbb of San Diego, Cali. Bad stuff!

You should probably look at when the comments were posted. For example, they may have started with great support and got steadily worse, or may have been terrible and realised they needed to provide a better service. I haven't done a search so you might find that their support is just inconsistent. That's the good thing about doing a search on WebHostingTalk though. You get to find these things out before you order.

Leaving service quality aside, Aplus gets a lot of beating for their business practices.

I love aplus and have used them for years with no serious issues and ther support is superior in my opinion. This is coming from someone that trust their site with a host when our site brings in a steady $5,000 a month.

Aplus is good company, customer care is also good BUT IMO they are costly. One of my client account was with them.

Try to google for their name as well. That might help you. I believe for your recuriments a lot of web hosting alternatives can be found, so why don't go through them I wonder?
