    VP-ASP any good ?

    Hi,

I am heading down the ASP road and wanted to kick off with a proven ASP E-Commerce package.

Does any one have any feedback on the VP-ASP product?

How good is it?, Is it strong and reliable?

Can it handle some 2000 -3000 od parts in categories and sub categories well.?

Does it handle the Credit Card processing via API well?

Any comments would be great to help me fully consider this product.
    Cheers

Reliability, yes, it is but sometimes it depends what kind of database VP provide in their software. I have a friend who bought one a while back and it is an Access database. Now, he is very disappointed because when his site gets heavy traffic with thousands of categories and sub-cat listing in it, it load like molasses and crawling into its knee.

    thankx dexterz,

How many connections can the access db handle at any one time?

I was hoping to use an access db, as access for desktop apps is what I know and can really make work getting the data in and organised etc alot easier..

Should I look at an MS SQL solution instead? I think VP-ASP does that too?

    thanks again for your comments...
