    Looking for wannabe Browsercam users.

I found out about browsercam.com today and think its a fantastic site. However their prices are quite prohibitive especially when im only going to be using it for testing sites, and sometimes testing a lot of pages of the space of a week or so, its quite a lot of money to eat into profits.

So Im looking at getting the Yr licence, it has 25 user accounts with it, so I thought I would group together with some other developers and pool our money for a yr licence.

I figure if I can find 20 people interested then that works out at $24 a year each
    Edit:

Numbers will have to be reduced for a second group.

NOTE: That means prices will be different to above, expect to pay between 45-65 USD

For now im just trying to find 20 people who may be interested, if your interested please state your interest below and I will contact you.

    Thnx

    Edit:

The first group has now been filled and everyone is enjoying using browsercam We are setting up a second group and as im so nice, I have saved you wading through tons of posts.

browsercam.com billed me for around 6 months, during which time I wasn't using the service, despite the fact it states they only bill you during months of usage.

That said, I still use them, since I haven't found a better alternative.

I'm just going to buy a Mac as a second computer. It works out to about a year worth of Browsercam usage to buy a Mac mini.

I wish it wasn't so expensive too .

They do have two monthly billing schemes, one bills you regardless (and is cheaper) and the other I think is just month to month, so it looks like they have changed their billing setup.

er vinnie, did you read my post?

If we get 20 people who want to use it thats $24 a year? With unlimited usage!

Im no 1 only need 19 more people!
    Edit:

(and if we pay for a year, we get 1 month free, so thats 13 months unlimited usage for $24)

So theres 3 of us, now all we need is another 17.

Come on people, I thought people would jump at the chance, time to change the sig.

You can count me in as I'm just about to change to a CSS layout. How are you planning on taking everyone payments?

Browsercam are happy to accept payments via paypal, so I will do the same. I will probably loose out slightly because of the paypal charge but never mind.

Spread the word, get it in your sigs we need 20 people to make this work and I think 20 people is easy from the amount of visitors to this site.

We now have 4 people only another 16 to go.

It wouldn't really bother me if you made it $25 in order to absorb the paypal charges.

    Hi,
I joined the forum just to get in on this.

I have a lot of current and dead browsers for testing but have always been interested in browsercam for testing.

I think this is what Vincent Flanders and etal uses to help show bad examples of cross browser/resolution: http://www.webpagesthatsuck.com/dailysucker/.

So, PLEASE count me in. I can be contacted via the profile or via my website - THANKS for taking the time and energy to do this! I'll put up to $25 for it too!

Definitely. I am in, if you are still accepting people. Will each of us receive a user id and password?

PM with instructions for payment once we have all the people!

I remember seeing browsercam, or a similar service, before, but at the time I believe it only provided screenshots. That remote access feature sounds incredible. I too had been planning to just plunk down ~$600 for a Mac Mini as soon as OS X 10.4 came out, but I'd like to try browsercam first, now.

You're sure they're cool with that arrangement?

If they are, and it's going to happen soon, count me in.
