Interesting take on the VB color scheme. I didn't think to change the background color of the scrollbar while its active. Are you using javascript - onClick or something?

The padlocks on all the forum headers is a little discouraging, though. It gives the impression that you have to be a member to even read a post.

hmm.. first time logged in as a non member...

    thanks for the tip..

    Not sure what you mean..

    what scrollbar?

I changed only the images, and made modifications to the colors - no hacks installed yet...

    Cheers!

    Er,
the header colors, the blue and the red, seem to be a little too bright, it's hard on the eye. At least to my eyes.

Other than that, the forum looks great. =)

I run 32-bit color and the rust color of the buttons at the top right clashes with the bright orange of the "forums" bar.

Also, I would make the blue bars the same height as the orange bar.

Since this is a forum, I don't see why you have the search bar with the drop downs for "monthly fee" etc. Just have a link back to the site. Someone who leaves the main site to come to the forum didn't do so to search for a host.

At 800x600 you have a horizontal scroll and the "go" button is obscured.

Your coppaform page has no links back to the main forum, only to editprofile. It also has no identity other than the vBulletin logo.

    Otherwise, it looks good.

It just looks like another VBulletin to me. And it seems you can't go wrong with it these days.

I liked it 'twas fine -- but the only that got me was I didn't know what the forum was for until I had a look at the main site. It may seem to you pretty obvious that FindSP is find service provider (presumably?!) but I didn't know that.

I did find your other sites good though - (in fact it was the hosting bar at the top of the forums page - very useful!)

    Thanks

Well, actually the idea behind FindSP.com is to create a network of portals for Service Providers, at the moment we're working on an Application Service Providers, and after that ISPs, training etc.
for now we have the web hosting portal...

Anyways, about the board, I'd like to see more sign ups there, we have moderators that reply instantly for almost any questions related to web hosting..

    So, any advice?

I read all the tutorials on Sitepoint.com already
    need something more original

ok i like the look and all but then there are some samll things like the buttons. keep the text the way it is but make the button color be like red or blue to match your forum. And the drop down links you should instead of making it to where you have to select it then click go make it so when you select it it automatically takes you there. Its more convient that way. Other then that you got a prettty good site going.
    will haveone soon

Why didn't you keep the colors of the rest of your page?

I would do so, then everything has a more unique look!

The orange is too brighten anyway!

I would use a bit of the green you have in your pulldown menu on your main site!
That is way easier for the eyes!

I also don't like the buttons that much!
Either change the color or replace them completely by a navigation bar.

    Your forums themselves are OK.
They cover many things which are related to webhosting.

I like the forums, but I agree with the last post. One of the most important things I've found when a site has forums is that they need to match the rest of the site. A consistent look and feel is one of the most important things for a website. So maybe you'd want to use the grey and very very light yellow from the findsp.com page.

Just a thought though, nice work altogether.

Think you started off with too many sections. There are 17 sections and 16 registered members...

I suggest you start with no more than 6 and add more as more people come to your site.

Well, we have dedicated moderators who reply to every single post that is available or posted on the forums.

So there is no problem of waiting for the reply a long time, and I think that these are well categorized section.

All we need is more members who will make some posts, we'll worry about the replies

    hi

just to say good luck with the site.

you could not have chosen a more flexible piece of software for the basis of the site.

it is imposible for me to review.

work with the colors a bit and get lots of user input.

then build for them and consistent with your theme.

site point is a good example. each change they make is almost surely to make navigation easier for the user or to add a new feature. look at the scads of work done to just get the reply page ready.

i do have a problem with the name. a distinctive url might have been better. the possibility of confusion with spforums is all too prevalent.

peace and the best of good fortune.
