    What program to use.

    I am in a need of a program that i can use to create a website in.

    The program does not have to be any fancy what i a mlooking for os something that i can look at what i have done so far anytime.

    So that i don't have to do like in notepad, Save and open the file in IE :S

    So that when i want to see what i have done, i can like click one button and whola

    Dreamweaver allows you to see your progress by using the F12 button. You can set up shortcut keys to view the page in various browsers.

    However, not sure that this may be overkill for you....

    You mean you don't want expensive software? You can do it in MS WOrd or Frontpage...I think thats a standard Office pack.

    Frontpage is pretty good if you wnat something inexpensive,and an alternative to notepad.

    I think in word (i don't use it for design) you can save a page as .html

    So check those features out!

    Yep and end up with horrible messy code :-)
    (talking about converting a word doc).....

    What about something like http://www.sausage.com/

    This is what I first used when I started out - years ago now :-)

    doesn't matter what you use, what if you have your browser open at the page you designed and just do a fresh every time you make changes, that should work too, if you ar already using some type of html editor no?

    Never Use Microsoft Frontpage or Word for design if it is just to preview your work u can code with notepad and look t the result in your browser ! refresh th page ech time and u will see the result !
    Also there are some Cheap HTML editor with WYSIWYG feature around search for them even here on SPF !
    I f u have bucks u may wanna try Dreamweaver or Adobe Golive.

    Thanks man

    The main reason why i dont want to use notepad + browser is that if i want to go back, then i have owerwritten he original file

    I used Acella but it was a Shareware

    FOR GODS SAKE DON'T USE WORD!!!!!!!

    Get something like dreamweaver or use word pad. Splash a bit of cash now for rewards later!

    there are some freewares and some cheap sharewares around just look around ! Are u willing to spend some bucks ? if so what's ur budget ?
