Do you have experience with MS Foxpro?

A company I work for purchased a program last year using FoxPro. I am totally not impressed with it. They paid about 20K for it but it has all kinds of errors. It kicks people out of the program, printing out of it generates a lot of errors, it takes up a lot of network resources as it all just runs of the server (no client side installation). Have you used it? can it be good if it is properly designed? Is there any benefits to FoxPro?

I haven't used it but everyone I've talked to who's used it says it's junk. I would look for a new supported DB to replace it.

I have used VFP 6.0 in the past and I had only one challange...'Data Corruption'. It might be possible that program was not properly designed or implemented.

I remember getting a CD for that in when I bought Visual Studio 6 years ago.
Never knew what it was for.

Visual Foxpro is an excellent product. I've been programming with it for over 15 years. What you describe is simply rotten coding. A good Fox developer could probably fix the errors you with minimal effort. Good luck and Happy New Year!
