    Gmt

Has anyone ever noticed that the SitePoint Forums clock is wrong? At the bottom of every page it says "All times are GMT. The time now is 06:27 PM." Of course it isn't 6:27PM it's 7:27PM, and I *should* know because I live in the GMT zone... Just something I noticed...

Technically speaking, the SitePoint clock is right. It is in GMT, as we are in BST (British Summer Time) which is GMT+1.

It gets confusing, but I'm used to it from my days in the Army. All the data logs we had to deal with always had the times in GMT, so during the summer months, our clocks were out of sync.

Have you set your preferences to the correct time for your region? You can change it you know?

Yes...my settings are set to GMT, Creole. There is no option for BST!!!

As I said, it's a little confusing, but I can work with it, so it doesn't bother me.

    Oi! I'm not THAT old!!!

Yes I know I could have chosen the CET option, but as I'm used to seeing a clock an hour behind the actual time, I couldn't be bothered
