    System Tray Issues!

    Hi folks,

Is there any way to prevent the loading of certain programs in to your system tray in windows 98? I have like seven programs running I don't need booted up at startup. Is there a program that can do this?

make sure they are not in your start up folder..
and also use msconfig to stop thing from coming up at startup..
go to Start > Run > type "msconfig", hit enter

    Also worth noting:
Browse to c:\windows\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp and eliminate unwanted programs there. If you can't get everything out, check the programs Options/Preferences.

Most items in the System Tray have options allowing you to disable them, you should look for that before you munky arround with msconfig.
