Greek Myth Website: I need YOUR suggestions!

I have to do a 4-page website on a topic of my choice for a University assignment.

I have chosen to do a webpage on Hercules and his Twelve Labours!
I could have done one on the man himself but that would probably take up way more than 4 pages (the content needs to be pretty indepth - which the 12 Labours alone should more than fill)!

    Anyway...

I need suggestions/ideas for how to go about designing this website? I figure it needs to be classically greek looking - but what is this? Anyone got any good reference websites with ideas or patterns I could use on the site?

At the moment I am thinking I will design the page like a scroll they would have used in the "BC" days.

    Thanks in advance.
Still learning the ways of PHP/MySQL.

A scroll would be very cool. You could create one and lay text on top of it to create a nice look. Might even want to place some Greek text on there too to make it look more authentic.

Or use greek columns, the repeating greek key or wave pattern, black-figures from vases, greek shield patterns ..
    a google search brings up

    http://carlos.emory.edu/ODYSSEY/Teac...e_painting.pdf

as two examples. Page 2 of the second link has some motifs ...
    www.weblucent.com for web services
    www.e-subbing.com for web proof-reading and sub-editing
www.free-from.com for the gluten-free among us

mybe this could offer some inspiration http://www.csszengarden.com/index.ph.../103.css&page=
Personally I'm not too sure about the scroll idea - I'd go with Lucents idea and try to pick more strongly graphical elements from ancient greek architechture and applied arts like pottery - whilst maybe just throwing in a little touch of irony into the mix.

    Kind regards,

    Gary
