    Need Help with Footer

On my site that i'm redesigning the footer that i've added i've positioned absolutely to the bottom of the page in a relative container, when the window is resized in IE i have it so that the footer wont overlap content, but in Firefox it is overlapping when the window is being resized. Could anyone please help me out with this? Thanks

    Thumbs down On another note

Your explanation of accessibility as "Accessibility is the Standards set forth by the W3C" is wrong. While it is true that a truly accessible site can never be invalid HTML, it does not mean that standard compliant sites are accessible. Accessibility is NOT a technical issue.

A good explanation comes from Mr.Web himself - Tim Berners-Lee:

"To put the internet and its services at the disposal of all individuals, whatever their hardware or software requirements, their network infrastructure, their native language, their cultural background, there geographic location, or their physical or mental aptitudes.

Furthermore, "accessible" is not an abbreviation, don't abuse the abbr element for something it should not define.

No problem. It is just very frustrating to be an accessibility consultant and seeing so many flat out wrong publications on the subject.

well i changed the tag to dfn, i would assume that would be more semantic.

The only issue that i still have is that i'm trying not to use any css hacks. So that my css validates

The definition of accessibility is still something different than what you claim. Your content is wrong, not your CSS.

Accessible means "reachable and understandable to everybody, regardless of technical environment or ability".
