    Question Extra padding appears in FF, Opera, Moz. but not IE

    Hey everyone,

    I have a site that I am working on that is using CSS for the layout.

    Here is the problem, if you view the site in IE, it looks the way that I want it to look.

    If you look at the site in Firefox, Mozilla or Opera, there is an extra space that appears under the banner image (in blue) that is a few pixels in height.

    I am having a difficult time finding the problem.

    Does anyone have suggestions?

    Thanks for your help!

    URL removed. Problem solved.

    Try taking out the exta line between your masthead div and leftColumn div.

    HTML Code:
          <div id="masthead">
            <a href="default.htm"><img src="images/banner.jpg" alt="National Information Exchange Model" width="780" height="134"></a>
          </div>
          <div id="leftColumn">
            <div id="innerLeftColumn">
               ...
               ...
               ...

    Add this to the #masthead{font-size:1px

    You probably have a font-size set in a grouping of rules that includes #masthead

    And since you don't have the font-size explicitly set in #masthead, it's taking on the font-size you set in the grouped rule.
