    Forum Basics

I'm looking at developing a forum for a web site that I administer and would like to create my own from scratch, but I need to know what the basic structure of a forum is.

I want to use ColdFusion to program the forum.

Does anyone know of a good reference or web site that might be able to help me out.

    Thanks

    Wendy

You might want to go with a free forum. There are some really good ones out there.

Here is a link to the thread on this in the Promotion and Marketing Forum:

You can always download one of these free ones and see how they put their forums together.

    Good Luck

Trust me on this one: Forums are difficult and should not be attempted without having great amounts of expereicne in ASP. I'm not familiar with your ASP experience, but chances are you're not ready for a forum, just like the 95% of other ASP developers out there.

If you want to try it anyway, try searching these web sites:

    Hope this helps!
