    Disjointed Rollovers w/ Hotspots

I made a menu bar image. It consists of an orange b/g shape, 4 words for links, and a logo. (You can see it at www.geocities.com/swimm5001/home.html)

I made it all one image b/c it's a lot easier since I was using a "non-HTML" font for my links. So I created Hotspots over the menu where the words were. So, is there anyway I can make it so that the Hotspots are also the rollover for a disjointed rollover. I just want to make it so that when you rollover the hotspot, the text changes in an area to say what it's about.

    BTW, I use DW4.

    Thanks in advance!

    Maybe this will help...

Here's a link that I think might help you out:

    Mighty MouseOver Machine

It will allow you to specify two different images as rollovers, and also allow you to make a seperate picture when the mouse moves over your graphic, for example. If I moved the mouse over "friends" you could have that word highlight a certain color, and also have some text in the white area of your website that tells about your friends.

    I hope it helps!

In DW3 if you have one pic like you do on your site you will have to creat a total of five of the same image. The original with no highlights. Another one with just the About me highlighted. Then another one with just the Friends highlighted and so on along with Fav. Links, and E-Mail me, giving you a total of five. That is the only way I know how to do it.

You can use only two pictures for the rollover, but you will have to create two separate pics for About Me. One non-highlighted and the other highlighted. And do that for the rest. That will give you eight separate pics.

If anyone else found a better way let me know.
