and yes i have my task bar on auto hide it doesnt bother me one bit

I like having my taskbar right there all the time so I can quickly switch between them. I like working with lots of windows open and I find the taskbar to be a great invention

If you're in the UK and a student get all the Macromedia on education license. It's miles cheaper than buying it commercially. How do you think I got to own full versions of UltraDev 4 and Fireworks 4?

hey the original does your machine go slow cause you have all those programs on your desktop

Doesn't seem to affect it too badly - and this machine does not exactly have a great spec (K6-2 333mhz, 64mb ram, 4gb hd)

My newly built machine still won't play

Icons shouldn't hurt performance much, if at all. They take up very little RAM and don't require much CPU attention. You can gain speed in other ways, such as having no wallpaper.
