    Help Installing PHP

    Hi,

I need a little help intalling PHP and Apache. None of the all in one programs had what i want so i decided to install them for my own, except when I start Apache i always get the same error:

    Code:
Syntax error on line 324 of c:/phpdev3/apache/conf/httpd.conf:
Cannot load c:/phpdev3/php/sapi/php4apache.dll into server: (1157)
One of the library files needed to run this application cannot be found:
    ANd the line 324 is:

    Code:
    LoadModule php4_module c:/phpdev3/php/sapi/php4apache.dll
    AddType application/x-httpd-php .php4 .php .php3
Does anyone have any idea why I'd get this message? Thanks

    -Peter

Sounds like you don't have the path to your php4apache.dll folder in your PATH env variable, I would read this doc and follow the intructions to a tee, it got me up and running a while back.

    Hi,

Did it and the same thing happens, same error. Maybe I'm missing a dll or something.

You did the environmental variable changes like it said? Also do exactly as the file says and use the same folder names don't try to customize them to fit your setup because I tried that and it only worked when I did it exactly as it shows in that file with the exact same folder names.

Still not working for some reason, I think I may be missing a dll or a lib file.

DO you know of any that I'd be missing?

Is it still the same error? Or is there another error?

Still the exact same error, I had this all working with the exact same setup the other day, but was forced to format today (crappy m$ software) and lost it so I've had to do it again and I'm getting this error.
