How does your "error 404" page looks like ?
Did you create your own or did you stick with your host's default 404 page ?

Mine is nothing special (i.e. nothing). I plan on using mod_speling for Apache which corrects user spelling errors in the URL and also to make my 404 page redirect to my search page when I have my site finished.

The 404 pages for the Roxen webserver are pretty funny. They apologize for the 404 and then drone on and on about how they are worthless...

I always liked web sites that wrote "four-oh-four" instead of 404.

I also liked a 404 I came across a few years back that displayed a milk carton, but instead of having a "missing person"on it, it had a "missing website" on the box. I thought it was very well done. Too bad I don't remember where it was.

My Favorite 404 is php.net's

If you put in something like http://www.php.net/notfound/

You get a basic (sort of) 404

but if you type http://www.php.net/include
it automatically brings here:
http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.include.php
