    form causing this problem?

    this page:

    http://www.esl-lounge.com/test.shtml

    has the black row under the logo rendering differently in IE and FF...why?

    it is the narrow bar with the amazon search box in. I need it to only be 21px high so as not to be taller than the mini graphic on the left...but in FF, it doubles in height, I think due to the form (the amazon search form)

    is there any way of squeezing the td back to 21px in FF

    I have tried adding height="21" to that cell but the form seems to push beyond the 21 and I can't stop it...in FF - in IE it's fine.

    any ideas?

    try adding this to your form tag (the one for the problem form) id='myForm' and then add this to your stylesheet:

    #myForm {
    padding: 0;
    margin: 0;
    display: inline;
    }

    I just glanced quickly but I think that will do it

    Why would you not want to use CSS?

    yeah, I'm gonna use CSS!!

    just wondering whether it was only a CSS solution that could fix it. I have to redesign my whole site, so looking at all the little things that have annoyed me about the site in the last three years...that just happened to be one of them.
