How do you take screen shots? Is it print screen? and if it is where do I find the screen shots?

When you press 'Print Screen' it takes a picture of your screen and puts it in the clipboard. To take the screenshot out of the clipboard you have to open an image editing program (such as Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro among others) and paste it into the program (Edit>Paste). Then all you have to do is save it.

Simple enough?

Here's my desktop, those of you in the UK that get up in the mornings might recognise her.
Full size - 1280x1024 (129K)

Thumbnail - 320x256 (14.7K)

Perhaps i should be getting on with some work instead of making wallpaper

I can assure you that my desktop would be boring.

So boring, that it would make you instantly bored. It is so boring that I always have something in front of it, such as SitePointForums!

Ok....this is mine at the moment. More for the girlies among us though, I think. I made it from a pic of Brad Pitt that I found on the internet................

Should be 1280x1024, but I scaled it down to 800x640

With that guy on my desktop I'd be constantly creating just enough icons on my desktop to cover the bloke's face completely

I use WindowsBlinds, several free icon packs, and a lot of customization in different apps.

Brad Pitt (or "Bill Pitt"

) received an oscar nomination for his role in 12 Monkeys. You should see it! It is fantastic and really proves what can be achieved when a talented actor volunteers to take part in a role for next to no money, just because he loves the filmmaker and story. He did the same thing for "Snatch", also an extremely well played and researched role.

You'll love that pair of eyes in 12 Monkeys. They are totally different! I don't know what he did to them, maybe special contact lenses or something. You have to see it to believe it. Spooky yet amazing.

Well that's sold it...............it stars Bruce Willis!!!!!!

Because it could be called a "cult" movie, some of my friends really didn't like it. Not predicatble enough for them, and too intelligent. So I gave it a miss in the cinema (it came out back in 95 or 96). But don't let Bruce Willis' role throw you off either.

The same thing happened to me with "Fight Club" - and I missed another of the greatest films ever just because friends of mine didn't get it.

This was the first non-action role for Bruce Willis. It precedes good performances in Fifth Element and Sixth Sense, so it was quite surprising in its day to see a credible performance out of this actor.

PS maybe I should start another Movies thread rather than going on and on in here.
