    Given your post, I had no idea you even tried it.

    Why don't you post your code and I'll give it a whirl...

    Given the fact that this works....it's really only a question of the targetFrameName (being valid in that context i would think)

    Code:
    <html>
    <head>
    <meta name="GENERATOR" Content="Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 7.1">
    <script>
    location.replace("here.html");
    </script>

    </head>
    <body>

    </body>
    </html>

    Sorry for the confusion. Here's a snippet of my code. Thanks in Advance
    Code:
    url="search_results.asp?s1=" & s1 & "&s1t=" & Request.form("selection_1_text") & "&s2=" & s2 & "&s2t=" & Request.form("selection_2_text") & "&s3=" & s3 & "s3t=" & Request.form("selection_3_text")
      response.write("<script>" & vbCrLf)
      response.write("bottom_search.location.replace('" & url & "');" & vbCrLf)
      response.write("</script>")
    I also did a response.write url and it displays correctly eventhough theres all that garbble up there.

    when I submit, it tells me that bottom_search is undefined. when its in the 'top_search' section of my frame.
    Code:
    <HTML>
    <HEAD>
    <TITLE></TITLE>
    </HEAD>
      <FRAMESET ROWS="80,*" FRAMESPACING="0" BORDER="0">
      <FRAME SRC="search_drop_downs1.asp" name="top_search" MARGINWIDTH="0" MARGINHEIGHT="0"
      SCROLLING="NO" NORESIZE="NORESIZE" FRAMEBORDER="0">
      <FRAME SRC="blank.html" name="bottom_search" MARGINWIDTH="0" MARGINHEIGHT="0"
      SCROLLING="YES" NORESIZE="NORESIZE" FRAMEBORDER="0">
      <NOFRAMES><BODY>
    </BODY></NOFRAMES></FRAMESET>
    </HTML>
