Schedule emails to be sent out at particular time

    Hi,

Is it possible with ASP to schedule tasks such as the following:

A database contains hundreds of registered users. Within three days of their registration expiry an email should be automatically generated to inform all relevant users that their account will expire shortly.

A sheduled task should also run every night (say, at midnight) to remove expired accounts from the system.

I have fairly good ASP skills but have no idea how to go about this.

    Any ideas??

If you have access to task scheduler then yes if not you can either use another hosting account to run cron. If you don't have access to either of these then take a look at www.cronservice.co.uk which allows you to schedule unlimited numbers of scripts.

Thanks Lux, forgive my ignorance here but what is a 'task scheduler' and how do I know if I have one?

If you have windows dedicated hosting (which i'm guessing you don't) you would have access to it but if you're on a shared account then you won't have. You have the other two options really.
