    Is there any way to get rid of the extra space forms create below them?

    I've never been able to figure out how to get rid of that extra space it makes, is it even possible?

    I don't like how it leaves all the extra space on this page of my site: http://www.getsomenoise.com/bands/

    It's not the form, it's the div it's in. You've got the bottom padding set to 5px.

    No I don't. It has a 3 pixel padding on all sides, but that's beside the point. It's got atleast 20 pixels beneath, so even if such a bottom padding existed, that wouldn't be the problem.

    For one-line forms, you can change it from a block level element to inline. It sometimes helps.

    Forms do have default padding and margins, have you set both to 0?

    If you do this :
    Code:
    form {
    margin:0;
    }
    the form will lose it's bottom margin (I think... at least that's what happened when I tried it with the WebDev toolbar) but then it will look strange because the thing to the left of it ('Bands Database') is big and that takes up space.
