    Site Testing

    Hey everyone!

How can I test a site out before uploading it to the server. I want to be able to test SSIs also.
I want a better way than uploading, going to the site, then working my way to the page for testing. Thanks so much.

You need NuSphere (www.NuSPhere.com - download).

It is an all-in-one package that installs Apache, Perl, PHP and mySQL on your WIndows machine (I assume you are using Windows). I personally use this package and I think that it is great. It allows you to test full database driven websites right on your local computer. It saves time and effort.

If you only want to test SSI or ASP, then you can install Personal Web Server (in the PWS directory on your Win98 CD, or a difficult find on the Microsoft website).

It's free, but won't show Perl or PHP.
