mysql.com is great, I'm new here.

Ok guys I'm not really new to web design but I am new to server side scripting and database involvement in a web page. Well my hosting company provided me with a mysql database. After two weeks ok pulling my hair out i found a tutorial on mysql.com. I thought it was great and helped out alot.
Still learning this php stuff and all but its so cool. I can expand my service now too. Anyone else here use phpmyadmin for their mysql database.

I use it because it speeds up my work flow, but I also know how to use mySQL from the command line which is very usfull.

Also, Kevin has made a VERY good tutorial on using PHP/mySQL that you might want to check out:

I dunno how I'd survive without phpMyAdmin I use it for pretty much everything - I know enough SQL to get by on the command line but none of the places I host with provide a telnet account. phpMyAdmin makes things so easy though - definitely an essential scripts

I use phpMyAdmin for alot too. I know SQL so that I can write out queries on the fly and thats what I usually do with phpMyAdmin, just type what I want to do into their query box. But what I like it for is setting up tables and whatnot, and also quickly checking on my db. If I ever need to do any sort of admin functions I didn't make a script for I do them via phpMyAdmin. The only things I telnet into the server for are backups.
