PHP documentor - definition of bloat???

just going through old projects I've downloaded to test out and ran across php doc again... hmm right click -> properties

    1543 FILES!

does it really take 1543 files to generate documentation for a project where a solid class with some regex's could do just the same with a couple files?

I'm facing the same thing in my company.. just keep adding features, making the code base larger and larger, yet we love a company like google who does one thing VERY well, but soon they'll be features, features, features.

At what point do we say enough? lets just start something new.

i think the largest part of phpDoc are the different output templates, right click on HTML in phpDocumentor/Converters and you'll see

I'd define bloat not with the number of files, but with the number of features you have, but don't use often

e.g. google: i never used the news, froogle or local search, so i might say google is bloated for me. but as long as the search doesn't take longer than before the bloat i don't complain
