    What program should I use to connect to a mysql database?
    I have a test database at F2S and when I log on to the db server, all I get are two links;
    phpMyAdmin-Homepage
    phpMyAdmin Documentation
    Thats all. Am I missing something? Do I need to help phpMyAdmin on my computer too or something?
    Can someone help me?

    Hi,

    You say you want "to connect" to a mysql database. That usually means you have a script that connects to the database and extracts some information. The program you use is called "php".

    phpMyAdmin on the other hand is a way to enter information in a database or change the information by hand. As you must know, you have to enter information in a table using the command line i.e in a DOS window. Well, phpMyAdmin is just a graphical user interface(GUI) that allows you to do that more conveniently. Is there a something on the upper left of the page, like your username with a "+" by it? That is your database. If you click on that and then wait for about 5 minutes(depending on how slow the server is), a page should open up that allows you to add tables or browse existing tables among other things.
