    3nf, visio, is this correct?

This is just a simple database that I am practicing on. I mapped it out in visio so that it is easier to read, but I was woundering if anyone could take a quick look at it and let me know if it is in third normal form, and if they see any other random errors in it. It looks wrong to me, but for some reason I just can't put my finiger on what it is. I'm still new to databases, sorry for the stupid questions. I attached the visio file, if that's.

    DBDesigner

hey you might want to check out http://www.fabforce.net/dbdesigner4/

    instead of using visio...
    the graphics look much nicer...

as long as you know table relationships.

    many to many
    one to many

fabforce will create the columns for on to many

and even create the lookup table for many to many.

use that and label the relationship as many to many or one to many .. instead of just a plain line. That will help to identify what each thing is without reading to hard into the design.

    good luck
