    Calculator works on IE but not on Firefox or Netscape

    I have a calculator that works perfectly fine on IE with four js functions all working. I created it on FrontPage. But on Firefox or Netscape nothing happens when I hit the Calculate button (which calls doMath() and verify() onclick). I can't figure out what to look for and where to look.

    I know it's not the browser cause I have a very very simple calculator that works on both IE and Firefox. There must be some wrong code or missing code that I just can't find.

    You can view the form at http://web.tri-isys.com/avc/calculator.htm.

    thought I replied to you on another forum ?
    final is reserved - use Finish
    Finish = estimate + fund

    +
    suggest using an id in addition to name and

    document.getElementById('view_fund').value=custRound(fund,2);

    and MozFF under tools has a js debug consul

    No that must be another guy. This is my first time to post.

    Thanks I'll try what you suggested here, vwphillips. I've seen the debug consul but as a newbie to js I couldn't make sense of it yet. Just trying my hand with js using sample js and just extracting the principles out of that. Wow, this seems more complext than html with all the browser issues.

    browser issues are a big problem

    If you are to do more scripting suggest always testing with Mozilla FireFox which is most complient.

    The MozFF bebug consul shows line number and error description but remember to clear errors between trials,

    I prefer the IE bebug panel but IE is not as complient
