    Question Float fun

    Hello all,

I have a question on floats for anyone who thinks they can take it.

I am developing a site where the homepage is 760px wide basic and stretches when the browser is pulled out.

I have 3 elements on the left hand side that need to stay there, and one element that needs to stay against the right hand of the browser.

I have set the left hand divs as relative and my right hand div as float:right.

However when I shrink the browser smaller than 760px, the floated div on the right pushes my left hand divs down the page rather than just giving scrollbars.

Does anyone have any ideas how I can get round this?.
I want it so that the float stops against the left hand divs when the browsers shrinks.

I really don't want to use tables.

    Please help.

    Thanks
    Dave

What you seek is difficult, but not impossible-- it's getting IE to play ball that's hard. Prowl among the sample layouts on this site: http://www.gunlaug.no/
These are somewhat advanced, complex, solutions-- if you're not a beginner, you may find something you can adapt to meet your need...
