    Nagging Gap in IE

    Hey CSS folks,

    I need some help. I've been working on a Wordpress theme. You can view it by visiting www.technosailor.com and clicking on Utica Ave in the theme switcher.

    The problem is I can't nail down the gap that is appearing in IE between the #topleft and #topright divs at the top. Can anyone lend a hand in this?

    Thanks

    Code:
    <div id="page">

    	<div id="topleft">&nbsp;</div>
    	<div id="topright">
    		<h1 id="header"><a href="http://www.technosailor.com">Technosailor</a></h1>
    		<h2 id="tagline">Governing Dynamics</h2>
    	</div>
    What about ridding of that "&nbsp;" in your HTML?

    Well, I put the non-breaking space in there for browsers that shoose to not render empty divs. I took it out for the sake of argument (it's not in there now) but the gap is still there.

    Hello

    It's funny, I do not get the same gap on my hard drive that is there on the site itself. So I am a bit confused.

    Here is a screen shot: Removed for various reasons

    Johnny, when you set the width of #topright to 565px, you get the gap. When you change it to 566px it bumps down. I was playing with that as well...

    Hello

    I see the gap when I view it online: Removed for various reasons

    Though, after I copied the HTML and CSS the 2 header bground images to my desktop and viewed it the gap was gone just some added white space.

    In the original screenshot in the post above I did move the right image to the left a little bit to get rid of the added white space, So I am not sure what to say til we can figure out why it is different on my comp than online again

    I added this and it seems to work:
    Code:
     * html #topright
     	{
     	border-left:0;
     	border-right:0;
     	right:3px;
     	}

    Hello

    Yeah, that is what I did, that made it look perfect in the local version for me and now the live version looks great too. I am going to delete these large images that I added above. Glad you sorted it out Hope I was in someway helpful
