shopping cart solution needed

Hi guys,

I want to start up ecommerce hosting, where i provide a complete solution ready installed.

I am stuck on how to go about this - the obvious solution would be to look and some existing open source carts and modify them, but i don't know which one, or whether i should code my own cart.

I originally started out with zen cart, but threw this idea out of the window when i realised that it is probly too complecated for my client base, takes up quite a large footprint on my server and also is relatively difficult to modify through a web based interface.

My main requirements are for it to be small in size, simple, but most of all, very easy for the client to customize the look and feel to his / her needs ( i am guessing templates are my only option here)..

Any ideas?

I really like the shoppingcart from www.ecommercetemplates.com. But if it needs to be free Oscommerce is good too. Go for the CRE Loaded version: www.creloaded.com
