    Javascrip Navigation Menu

    Hi all,

Im kinda newbie in Javascript, so I was wondering how I can create, or find some source to help me start working on a menu wich expands when you click on a link showing a list of new links but, as you click on one of the options and got o a new page, the menu stays open in that section. Hmmm its kind hard to explains, but it works same way as menus using images that stay highlight showing which page you in. IŽll try an example right below?

    Menu:

    Test1
    Test2
    Submenu for Test2:
    Test2.1
    Test2.2
Test.2.3 --- I click on This link, and it opens a new HTML, but menu stays this way, open in the Test2 List. Ahhh, btw, i cannot be on a frame.

    Test3
    Test4

Well hope i could explain it well, thanks by now!

    hmmm

Making the menu on one page is ok using style.display='none' and style.display='block' an easy way of expanding and contracting the menu.

however if you link to a new page (no frames or popups ) the menu is lost

however the menu can be remade on the linked page using the same menu code in that page.

you will then need a cookie or transfer a variable attatched to the url call to display it in the same condition (specified in the cookie or variable) as the previous page

I have an example of this (the cookie solution)

    see

if you are starting to make a menu this may be of assistance

I hope this is of some assistance
