I have 2 frames that cover 1/2 the width on the left hand side of my broswer. I would like to put an image in on the right hand side in the middle without the frames moving apart.
    Any suggestions on how?????

you could set your image as a background image. Then that would not affect the spacing for page elements. That would be the best way.

There are a couple of DHTML things that I can think of that you could do here. 1. to use the <IFrames>tag (bit of a strech there, but would work) 2. Use absolute positioning and stylesheet declarations to put your image anywhere you want. for instance, your absolute positioning code would look something like this:

    <div id="Layer1" style="position:absolute; left:45px; top:108px; width:108px; height:22px; z-index:1"><img src="../images/blah.gif" width="97" height="15"></div>

this positioning is both netscape and ie compatible, and will place your image literally anywhere you want. And if you specify the width and height, the image will not alter your frames or your tables (you ARE using tables to contain your content, I hope). I am assuming, however, that your image is in fact smaller than the frame.

Sitepoint, and webmonkey both have good explanations on this stuff, just type into a search, and you will be pointed to the right area. It takes a little time with trial and error, but sure is worth it for the end product! Hope this helped a little.

Frames are from the devil, use tables!
