I have collected a directory of useful links during my web surfings and am interested to upload them for general benefit. This is a text file with links separated in different heads. I want to keep it in a way that the online part will get updated from the text file which i ammend when i get a useful link.

    Any suggestions

This has something to do with creating weblogs. I don't know everything about it, so you better check it out yourself.
    Have fun!

Yes, blogger is a good solution if you want to keep a log of comments, links, web pages, etc.

A while back, I wrote my own version of a web log in ASP. Instead of a text file solution that you mentioned, I can hit a toolbar link which opens a new window. I enter text into the textarea, submit it, and it gets added to my log. I can also highlight text on a page, and have it automatically appear in the textarea for adding a new entry. With a few tweaks, I hope to make the source code available for those who are interested in having their own homegrown solution for a web log.

I know its better, but there is actually only one reason why i use blogger and nog greysoft. With blogger you can just rightclick, select "blog this" and hit enter and there you have it. That's the easiest i've see.

You can do the same thing with Greymatter. I'm playing with Version 1.21b at the moment, which allows you to install Greymatter bookmarklets to your browser toolbar and right-click menu. I haven't read the version history, so I'm not sure if this is new to v1.21b, but you might want to check it out.

Yup.... GreyMatter has the "blog this" type of feature.

The author is on hiatus for the time being -- family/personal issues to tend to - so the last update of the script hasn't been updated since February - 1.21b.

You can do just about everything on GreyMatter that you ca do with Blogger -- well except the output can basically be html - unless you use php includes - than it can be php, etc.

Ow, i didn't know that about the blog this feature.
Then, I might reconsider. Tnx for telling me.
I'm starting to get a little angry because of the major downtime of blogvoices.

Anyway, first let's make my examens, then, I'll get greysoft going. Ciao
