local machine backed up to remote server automatically?
anyone know of a local application for a windows machine that can back up a local machine and then ftp to remote server.
Would like it if can do autmatically... once a week, etc.

there are backup server boxes you can buy that do this automatically (with a local box that is) ..... not sure you're gonna want to back up an entire machine via FTP to a remote server though ..... man you better have a pipeline out the size of a battleship!
Cant remember the name of those backup server kits but Ill look around ... might want to type
backup + server + local
into Google .... lots of good info there!

DLS and Cable do not have the uploads speeds to backup a whole machine remotely. Plus if you had a failure of some kind it would not be able to restore. The remote backup places are used for file backup (not OS) and even with that the speeds are usually to slow to even consider it. Your better of getting an external drive and backing up to that.

Yeah.. we want to see about backing upjust data - TExt Data mostly... just to create off site backups.. not an entire local machine backup. Sorry should have made that clearer.
