mysqldump in xp
I'm trying to do mysqldump in Windows XP, having done this successfully in WIN98 for a long time, but can't get the script to run. I understand I should create a batch.bat file and place it in the mysql\bin folder. Here's the script:
"C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 4.1\bin\mysqldump.exe" mysqldump -u ROOT -pPASSWORD DATABASE FILENAME > d:\new\FILENAME.sql
(no space between -p and the password, one space between -u and root)
The error message says that I should find the right syntax to use near 'batch.bat" which sounds like the file isn't even opening.
Could someone give precise coding and action I should use as I'm not a pro. Thanks.
