    Viewing Pages Locally ?

    How come when people go to my site, they can view the documents, but when i try access it locally or through the IP address everyone else uses, I get an error saying that ACTION HAS BEEN CANCELLED, or something of the like.

    Is your site located on the same computer your browsing from? Is it on the same network?

    Alright well can you disconect your computer from the network and turn off your software firewall and see if that isolates the problem.

    i dont have any firewall installed, and the intergrated windows is already turned off.

    Since your on a windows machine and are apparently using Apache server, try turning off Apache and turning on IIS just to see if that isolates the problem. If thats the case the solution may be as simple as reinstalling Apache.

    Also you may want to check out your hosts file just to make sure nothing weird is going on in there

    You can't access the local server through your router via your external IP. I get this problem on my home PC. You need to access it via 127.0.0.1

    even through that i get the same error as if i tried to do it externally.

    Ok well i can access it locally now, just had to type in a little more in the address bar. Thanks guys, just wish I can view the site like other people do.
