Hey guys...I need some people to test this site. I am thinking about doing a navigation system similar to this and want to see how far back it will work.

I have checked the site in IE 5.5(PC) and NS 4.75(PC). Could you all please check it in v4 NS and V4 IE as well as IE 6 and Mozilla (Lyon!)? Plus, any Mac users please tell me what you get as well, in any browser you have.

Mostly I am looking for CSS compatibility. The site uses images stuffed into DIV tags and I want hard evidence as to how they work in older browsers.

Im not asking for a breakdown of the design, just please tell me what the menu at the top left looks like in your browsers.

Works fine with IE6, although that page has no doctype set.

Hey Creole - Win 98 NS6 ici - took YEARS to load (but I do have an ikkle connection). The navigation behaves ridiculously in NS 6. It does not work. Layers dissapear and reappear in a seemingly random fashion!

I compared with NS 4.7 in which it is really funky.

Don't use this if ya want NS 6 compatibility - it ain't happening!

In IE5.5 (Win) and N6(Win) it works, kinda...

The divs are overlapping so I get the effect that when the mouse is actually over the 'porch' link the 'bands' link is highlighted. The same happens for the other links. I guess it's 'cos the 'location' div is above the 'about' div, the 'about' div is above the 'about' div and so on.

Also, due to the size of the images, the links hightlight when the mouse is about 2cm to the left of the link.

Maybe you could create something similar, which worked, if you created smaller, multiple images for each link.

Creole, if you do something like this make sure that the angle of the links is the same as the angle of the 3D on the text, as Uproars just doesn't seem quite right to me.

In Netscape 4.0 only the Porch link is at the top. The main logo and the rest of the navigation bar has sunken to the bottom half of the page for some reason.

    Sorry Creole! A little late.
Just poped-in to see if there were any new posts before I left for vacation! haha.

Anyway, here's the report of failed/pass..haha

    mozilla 0.9 : excellent
    netscape 4.76 : excellent
    opera 5.11 : excellent
    internet explorer 5.5 : excellent

hey, they gotta be paying you big bucks man. brilliant design. very unique! great job croele!!! go man!

The only problem, creole..is the onmouseover events.
Its not really precised to the text above each navigational text.
what you could do is use image maps.
    (I've tried and it works).

cretae an image map..an area where you want users to move over for the image switch over...(try to have that shape in the form of the image - slanted from top-left to bottom right)
please your onmouseover events there. and poof..a better working menu.

    Lyon...

I told you it's not my site you silly Singaporean. I was merely thinking of doing a navigation similar to that. On an angle I meant. I just wanted to see how compatible the DIV's were.
