[Windows] Make all files in a dir not load if directly hotlinked?

Windows Server 2000 - Need this done on a specific dir

I have a small little login script in ASP for people to come in and get pdfs. Different users can view a different list of pdfs. What i want to do is be sure those who have access can't just post a direct link to a pdf and share it. Any way to make is so a folder and all folders under it won't allow this?

    Thank you for your time!

Could be done with a custom ISAPI filter. But the easiest way is to make a little script that

    1) Checks referer/credentials.
    2) Sets appropriate content-type.
    3) Loads file and streams it back to the browser.

The files themselves would live in a non-web accessible directory.

So your download links would be GetFile.asp?File=myfilename.ext .
