    networked drive

    Hi all,

    I'm trying the gather data from a folder on a drive that is networked to a webserver. Howerver I keep getting this error -

    Microsoft VBScript runtime (0x800A004C)
    Path not found

    The path name is definetely correct, if I 'run' this path name it brings me directly to the folder. However it will not work through asp. Below is my code:

    HTML Code:
    <%

     Dim fso, f, f1, fc, s
       Set fso = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")
       Set f = fso.GetFolder("\\netfp6\folder$\test")
       Set fc = f.Files
       For Each f1 in fc
          s = s & f1.name
          s = s &   "<BR>"
       Next
       ShowFileList = s

      Response.Write s

    %>
    Any ideas??

    Hi,

    I'm not an ASP developer, however, I'm sure with IIS you have to allow the user account under which IIS runs to 'Interact with the Desktop'.

    Also, remember to check the permissions on the directory.

    Try adding @ to this line:
    Set f = fso.GetFolder(@"\\netfp6\folder$\test")

    Did you get any resolution to this problem. I am having the same problem.
    It says "Path Not Found" even though it is mapped properly.

    Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a004c'
    Path not found
    /emailcampaign/HighPerf/process.asp, line 205

    Here is a smaple of the code:

    Set fso = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")
    fso.CopyFolder "C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\new", "I:\web\newsletter\"

    This same code is working fine elsewhere on the page but as soon as I try to access a mapped drive it says path not found.

    I can't imagine it is a permissions problem, wouldn't it say "Permission Denied?"
