    hello all

i posted a thread a while ago (3 may) regarding some background issues that was having. the specific problem that i was having was that netscape wasnt displaying my background images in a 100% table that stetched horizontally according to the width of the browser and vertically according to the height/size of the content and it is the bg images in the vertically stretching cells that were not displayed by netscape (well, in v4.75 they displayed sometimes they were and others not whereas in v4.04 they never did and other versions also produced inconsistant results).
i have since found that replacing the bg image GIF's with JPEG's has produced results where netcape correctly displays the bg images in all version 4 browsers and above !? - apparently problem solved - has anyone else out there had a similar experience?

    hi,

weird..I never knew gif/jpeg (image format) actually played a part in the way it displays in NS =)

    was your gif image transparent?

I am nearly positive that the image format has nothing to do with display (except for PNG's).

    Colonel...

Could you post an example of what you are talking about so we can take a look at it?
