Lack of Coldfusion experts

I just realised that whenever a coldfusion thread is started in the appropriate forum, they are few if not no replies. Whenever i ask a coldfusion question, it sometimes takes days b4 i get an answer and it is not always satisfactory. I have decided to use a dedicated Coldfusion forum instead. This has lead me to the conclude that Coldfusion is dead or will be dying soon and there few coldfusion experts on this forum? (i use coldfusion for assignments only) I sometimes think so. I saw a thread sometime ago about Coldfusion being dead.

Let's please not get into "Is ColdFusion Dead?" again here... It's already been proven that ColdFusion is not dead and it is not dying, period.

You don't see many ColdFusion experts here because SitePoint has failed to really break into the ColdFusion user base. There are many other sites that simply do it better than SPF does, like House of Fusion or Macromedia's dedicated sites, for example. I rarely feel the need to post a question here and I've had too many people try to take advantage of my willingness to help in the past, so I just don't help anymore. (i.e. People who ask a question, get a good answer from me and then proceed to ask me to build a massive application for free and then refuse to leave me alone when I tell them no. Believe it or not, it happens all too frequently.)

Using a dedicated CF forum is a very good idea. I like SPF a lot, but I've never seen it as a good ColdFusion resource. SP itself could have been a good CF resource, but I don't think they were really interested enough in it to pursue it... I better stop there...

i use easycfm.com like i said i only use CF for assignments. For me ASP is much better

CF's not dead.

ASP's not dead (no matter how much Microsoft or PHPers would have you believe).

JSP's not dead (no matter how much .NETters would have you believe).

PHP's not dead (no matter how much corporate developers would have you believe).

And Perl's not dead either, it's just hanging out with sysadmins instead of web developers.

More like I need some red bull.. I'm a bit sleep deprived and very irritable. But, ColdFusion development is how many people make their living and how many, many, many businesses choose to approach development of both external and internal applications, so I think that anyone who says it's dead is not fully informed.
