    Hi,

I am currently looking for product catalog program in PHP/MySQL, or PERL that will do:

    - display the product photo (one or two for one product)
    - display the description
    - have search capability

Basically, the shopping cart without e-commerce features like Buy Me, etc and easy to manage, for ex, update using browser.

    Thanks for help,

    Best Regards,

    Tomasz

I would be interested in that sort of thing as well. Basically all the same administrative stuff with statistical data, categories, etc. etc.

There's gotta be something like that out there. I'm sure there are other people who have product catologues but don't want to have online shopping.

Go to a search engine and ask for "PHP scripts"

    Get link to Hotscripts.com

    Select e-commerce

    Select online catalogs

    See link

I think this might be what you're looking for. I've been working with it some, it's easy to customise and integrate.

Have a look at ProMET* Store. Although this is a powerful shopping cart, it can very easily be configured to behave as an online catalog without any purchase features. Point your browser at:

    http://lutrov.com/promet/

This is an open-source solution based on PHP/MySQL and it's numerous features can be simply turned off if not required.

Are you sure this is the correct url? I can't seem to find the script you are reffering to.

    Hi John,

Yes, the URL is correct. You won't find a script there because this is an entire application consisting of some 130 scripts, including templates. The URL is meant to provide a demo of the features of the application and is available to purchase.

There is also Aardvark Catalog that you may want to check out. Information can be found at: http://buildacommunity.com/aardvarkcatalog/

You might also try running a search at http://cgi-resources.com.
