What is the best way to protect your images on your site? How to prevent people from downloading your photos from your site and abuse it?

Unfortunately, if the user has any web experience, they can get your pictures.

You can put a javascript in your code to prevent visitors from right-clicking on the image. But to get around that, all someone has to do is look at the code and can get the image from that.

Or, you can always add a watermark to the image. That usually causes people to lose desire to take your images

You could always put them inside a java applet. This may prevent some people from seeing them if they don't have java enabled, and can increase download time.

But it will help protect your images!

An other possibility is to include them in a flash movie. You can then make a slideshor or so with them.
