    True.
But then again a lot of people reckon she made some awful decesions just to build a name for herself.

I remember all the noise in the media when she was appointed CEO. Shows how old I am.

Considering only two computer companies (Apple and Dell) marketing to the home consumer consistently make money quarter after quarter, HPs problems are more about chasing an inappropriate market model than one person. We will have to see if they can return the brand to a premium status over its current method of competing with bargain basement firms like Gateway and eMachines.

I firmly believe they should return Compaq to its former business supply entity and increase the quality and make its HP machines stand apart from the crowd in the consumer market. By using their brands differently, they stand to make headway in the market and increase sales. Just have to see if the board handles this termination properly and brings in someone with the proper vision.

I used to consider HP A+ quality. But under Fiorina's watch they became second-rate and overpriced. They also seemed to become more copycats than innovators. I haven't bought anything HP in a long time.

HP is having alot of trouble competing with dell nowdays and I dont really see anything that is helping hp. Now that Dell is so big, they have alot more buying power. HP desktops arent that great. And Compaqs suck, I cant belive hp bought them. However, I do like hp and compaq servers, they tend to be a little bit better. The ads they have are pretty lame, except for the picture ones. Dell doesnt really have the best support either, because it is all outsourced nowdays. So, I just build my own computers, because it has become sooo easy!! - my 2 cents
