"His name is Robert Paulsen" is Edward Norton/Jack and the other members of project mayhem in Fight Club, the best movie ever.

Here are easy ones if you've seen the movies.

Also, to go back to the music discussion, I saw Finding Forrester a week ago and that movie was almost devoid of any music, which annoyed me. The music that it did have didn't coincide with the emotions either.

    aspen...

I also grew up on Robotech as well as Battle of the Planets, Star Blazers, Speed Racer, Voltron and more.

The thing I always laughed about in GI Joe was when they used the ejection seat...from a helicoptor...

What type of books do you read though? I mainly read sci-fi (Asimov, Bradbury, Card, etc.).

Yep! I have it on DVD. -Spoilers ahead- It might be worth mentioning though that Edward Norton's character is not called Jack, and does not have a name - he just plays the part of the narrator, from Tyler Durden's point of view. He is credited as "narrator". When he says "I am Jack's complete lack of surprise" this is an in joke he picked up from the reader's digest magazines he (Tyler) reads. This confusion is so widespread that it causes many viewers not to fully understand the story, which is unfortunate for the film. I was certainly confused.

Creole, helicopters can and do have ejector seats. Their mechanism is much faster than the rotation of the rotors, and are mechanically timed to fire between a gap in the rotors. It is a very fast explosive charge.

OK, time to delve into my video collection and hit you with yet more from my archives:

"Despatch War Rocket Ajax, to bring back his body"

Mother - "And what did we learn in school today?"
    Son - "Revenge"

"What's wrong with you?! What you screaming for?! Every five minutes there's somethin', it's a bomb or somethin'! I'm leavin'!"

"Personally, I liked the University; they gave us money and facilities, we didn't have to produce anything. You've never been out of college. You don't know what it's like out there. I've worked in the private sector--they expect results."

"Wise man say, "forgiveness is divine, but never pay full price for late pizza."

"Well, what have we got here. Will you look at her. Those flashing eyes, those flushed cheeks, those trembling lips. You know something princess, you are ugly when you're angry."

    OK folks, fire away

And the "War Rocket Ajax" thing is from Flash Gordon, I believe.
But no-one knows this one yet?:

"What time is it? I'm forty dollars down and everyone's getting fat, that's what time it is!"

I'm not sure about the $40 bit, but it is something like that.
Hint: Originally a stage play, it's now on stage in London as well but the genders have been changed.

No, his name is actually Jack. He says, "I am Jack's <organ>" throughout the movie. Furthermore, on the soundtrack there are these songs: "Single Serving Jack", "Psycho Boy Jack", and "Jack's Smirking Revenge".

No no no! His name is not Jack -- he talks about a support group where they play little games, they say things like "I am Jack's pancreas" -- and Tyler says "I am Jack's liver...I get cancer and kill Jack." It's a JOKE throughout the movie.

The soundtrack songs make sense whether it's really his name or not.

    This is from IMDB:

After the Narrator turns off the electricity in Paper Street, he comes upstairs and spies on Tyler and Marla. When Tyler comes to the door, he's wearing a rubber glove on the same hand that Jack used to turn off the power.

They refer to him as "the Narrator" -- he is referred to on the official cast listing as "Narrator/"I Am Jack."

No, mmj is right that the whole "I am Jack's pancreas" parallel syntax is an allusion to the Reader's Digest article. And in your IMDB quote, he's referred to both as "The Narrator" and "Jack".

Yes, it does that, as well as do people like myself -- it's so much simpler. He is OFFICIALLY billed, on the movie itself, as the Narrator. I don't believe there's any argument here: his name is not Jack. We don't know what his name is -- maybe it's Tyler, or maybe he just calls himself that.

I hope we haven't spoiled it for anyone that actually wants to see Fight Club now

Go and see it - it is intense and it requires a lot more concentration than the title "Fight Club" may suggest.

Without giving away the ending, at the very end of the movie the reason we had never heard his name is explained. During the movie he constantly invents names for himself, but we never hear his name until Marla actually reminds him of his true identity. Also, he invents names for himself during the movie, which is why Bob knows him as "Cornelius". I like that

nb. Bob has never met "Tyler Durden"

TWTCommish is absolutely correct some post-release media and publicity, such as imdb, as well as working material during production, incorrectly lists him as Jack, for convenience, because the fact that he has no name is hard to explain to somebody who hasn't seen the movie, or did not understand it.

In the same thread, Ed Norton's character also repeats the term "single serving <consumer item>" throughout the movie, and invents the notion that his personalities are single serving. He acknowledges the way that a part of him has been drawn into a consumer world, repeating marketing cliches and catch phrases, and addicted to the Ikea way of life.

Like "The Usual Suspects", "The Sixth Sense", and possibly "Memento", you'll definately want to see it again after the ending has been revealed to you.

Sorry for going on like this but it is a great movie.

Here's another quote. If you liked Fight Club, you might like this movie:
"Wiping out the human race? That's a great idea. That's great, but more of a long-term thing. I mean, first we have to focus on more immediate goals"
