Need to show people what a site looks like on a Mac (iMac), but I couldn't find the Print Screen button!

So how can I make a screen shot on an imac?

It's been years since I used my mac ( my sister left it under a open window one stormy day) but anyway I'm not 100% might of changed but it was one of the following

    shift+apple button+3
    shift+apple button+4
    ctrl+apple button+3
    ctrl+apple+4

I think if you press 4 it will allow you to select any section of the screen you want to take a photot of, thats how you will know it worked makes a camera sound. All the pics should show up in your harddrive, it will be a simple text file

    apple + shift + 3
That does the trick for me.

    apple + shift + 4
Hey - I didn't know of that - but it worked.

I also used to use a utility that I downloaded from cnet's www.download.com that allowed you to set a hot key combo which would invoke the screen capture utility. It had some added utility. But, I got rid of it because I almost always edit screenshots in photoshop anyway (such as convert to gif).

NB - the apple key is also refered to as the command key.
